Hard Nova is a science fiction role-playing video game released in 1990. It was programmed by Karl Buiter and published by Electronic Arts. It was developed for DOS, Amiga and Atari ST, and is considered the follow-up to Sentinel Worlds I: Future Magic. Hard Nova had a character creation element that allowed players to choose their gender, and, unlike Sentinel Worlds I, lead a group of mercenaries.
The game was reviewed in 1991 in Dragon #167 by Hartley, Patricia, and Kirk Lesser in "The Role of Computers" column. The reviewers gave the game 5 out of 5 stars.[1]
